around 9 AM we started toward Haridwar via Muzaffarnagar
After Rishikesh, it was raining heavily so we stopped at road side Dhaba and had lunch over there
Route we followed is Haridwar - Rishikesh - Chinyalisour - Dharasu band - Uttarkashi

We reached uttarkashi at 7 PM, due to long jurney we were tired so decided to go to bed early and call it a day

Early morning nobody was ready to leave bed but how can a nature lover miss a chance to capture early morning picture of green mountain so around 6am a woke up , taken some pics and again get into the bed.

After manual alarm by Shivlinga hotel staff we finally woke up, everybody was busy doing morning thing and after a heave breakfast finally we bag packed our stuff and started for Gangotri

Our first stop was Gangnani wehre we stopped for could of minute to see hot Kund and has tea
Witnessed the beauty of Harshil, it was amazing to see such a wornderful place.
We saw Bhairogati bridge, Uppi told us it's one of the highest bridge in Asia which you can see in the pic
After bhairogati road was not that much good but who care about small patholes if you are in SUV.
Finally we reached Gangotri parked our vehicle beside main gate and saw a bhootiya dog, i bet just after some painting work it will look like a Lion for sure, you can see how healthy he is

We checked in at Gangotri hotel Mandakini and it was nice, we had clear view of river and mountain from the hotel.

So we kept bags in our rooms and headed towards temple, weather was not pleasant for photography and we hardly saw Sudarshan because of cloud but we enjoyed at river side and did lots of photogaphy.
It was getting colder and colder but we were waiting there to take night time picture and we did it.

So time was 8 PM and we returned from ganga ghat, had our dinner in the local shop but it was costly
At 9 finally everybody was tired so after a good night we called it a day

Next morning our photo expert @Dry ice was the first person who woke up early morning playing with his lenses and other instruments taking pic from different angles different ISO, time lapse and blah blah
With charge of 50rs we got hot water to take bath, hey it was must because our plan was to go for Devi Darshan.
Some kind of devotee feeling everyone was with, there were no crowd so we get this done in could of minutes and taken some panorama shots of holy temple.

It was early morning and everybody was feeling hunger so again headed towards the same shop to have some parathas.

All set and we said bye bye to gangotri after taking pics but one things was in my mind that some day i will go till Gomukh.

We headed towards Nelong , just after few Km from Gangotri there is checkpost in the right side , it took 5 minute to get the permit checked and we were allowed to enter in the golorious terrain.
This time Uppi bhai taken the responsibility of driving because roads are really really bad and better experienced driver of this terrain drive here.
Pics enroute.

En route we saw Indian Army bunkers which they used during 1962 war but due to security reason, respect for our country and Army i am not willing to post it on public forum [ please excuse me ].

And here we go !
Finally we saw ITBP port and some India Army jawans , Uppi told we have reached !!

Initilly Army over there was not friendly and asking many questions but once we proved our authenticity they became very friendly and allowed us to enjoy but not take pic of their camps.

for next 20 minutes everyone was busy taking pics and why not it was awesome experience reaching there watching blue sky brown mountains, some peak with snow loaded.

ITBP guys called us , it was around 3PM and we had some funny talk with ITBP jawans, they were telling many stories some of lenong some uttrakhand some kedarnath overall it was good time.

Then an ITBP guy came pointed us to a temple which was on the top of a mountain, it was Mata mandir and he do insisted us to visit the temple may be he was joking he knew that we won't be able to reach to the base itself.

He told in funny way that you guys will regret not going there, not everybody take change to come here, you are here luckily mata rani is calling you and you are not going there hahaha.

We were in dileama , go-no go, go-no go, 2 were ready including me other were not ready saying height is almost same as Jojila pass , don't go by emotion but take a right decision , already 3:30PM and we have to return also.
If Army men take 2-3 hour reaching at temple then for us normal civilian it would take at least 4 hour to go and 4 hour to return , too many calculations were going around and finally we decided not to go and just return.
I really wanted to go there, i used to do trekk in my school life when i was in Nepal middle school, it was a chance to do some trekking and we already missed it.
Although I was very happy to reach at Nelong because I am among few people who actually visited this place but yes a small sour feeling was definately there inside not only me but all were in the same page and suddenly every one started talking about some nearby trekk.
I was very happy and pushing all to find some near by trekk and do it.
Uppi told us about Sapttal trekk and we were set to do it.
After returning from nelong we headed towards Harshil and saw beautiful vally just like heaven, full of greenary and apple orcherds , uppi told us about this place , the old story of shooting of old movie Ram teri ganga maili , we saw mandakini fall where actress mandakini taken bath in the movie, Uppi was telling some local stories and we were enjoying.
So next plan was to find a place to stay and just 10 minute of work we found a good home stary kind of "Sunder home stay" (8126509888/9456312978)
A beautiful house with 8-10 apple trees in front in private property , some flowers and we made mind to stay there.
After keeping our bags we started wondering in harshil village, we were amazed to see the beauty of this place we spend around two hour visiting the place.
Waht a sceneic beauty it was you can see in the pics

So eveyone knows I am good cook and when it come to cook good chicken people still remember me ...
We were staying in home stay so it was a good time and i didn't deny it.
Found a chicken shop and packed 1.5 kg meat, everything was perfect the the kitchen but the basic thing a chef need to good knife which was missing, i mean i can't waste time cutting onion with small knife , i just need a good knife and i do it in few minutes.

I called Chef of the home stay and he was good enough to provide me good knife, i am talking about sharp, long, wide knife.

So chicken curry and rice were ready and i was frying chiken in pan it was kind of dry chicken with some gravy just to take Alcohol of course, after nelong it was at least what we needed.

So finally we started, 1,2,3,4,5 and so on , didn't counted the pegs just finished it and after that many we started telling some Ghost stories, Uppi told us what kind of Bhoot you can expect in mountains , all funny talks and good quality time.
Around mignight we started feeling sleepy and slowly slowly all slept.

Oh again manual alarm and call for breakfast made us awoke !

We got ready in an hour and packed our bags, we called by owner of the home stay for breakfast.
Settled in around the dining table and started aalo paratha, Owner was Gem of a person, i was feeling eating at my home,
He was very nice person Tibatian looking old male but i am sure if i got change i would like to go there again to meet the uncle ji.
He was saying us that you are the first group who cooked food by their own, he was very happy with us and wished Good luck for our trekk.

After few KM we stopped beside a road , there was a small waterfall in front of us but we didn't dare to cross river.

Uppi arranged some utensils just to cook maggy at Sapt tal.
And Finally we started the trekk, initial 10-15 minutes was ok-ok we were enjoying taking pictures, but when those inclined steps started people felt what decision they made, it was too hot , sun was shining on top of our head fully exausted we stopped at a place where some water pipe was broken and water leakage coming as form of fog which was creating beautiful rainbow, we were so much exausted that could not even opened camera bag :)
That camera bag was not more than a kilogram but still no body was willing to carry it so we did it turn by turn

Uppi saw us struggeling because of Hot, he played a trick he told us we are just about to reach and we got some energy and started.
after playing same trick again and again we understood the game, after 2.5 hour finally we reached at the top where gathered some thin wooden stick and made a temperory stove to cook maggy.
Taken water from waterfall and started boiled maggy but it was awesome.
More than maggy impressive thing was the view which you can not get at crowded place like shimla, manali.
It was different experience allthogether, there are seven lakes are there some are small some big but we have not seen enough water in the lakes and some were completely dry , may be due to the season but luckily i have got a chance to get a reflaction captured , i have posted that reflaction pic as teaser pic, i could not expected it , well water was not much plus lake was dirty because of plankton otherwise it could have given me feeling of chandratal reflection

After relaxing there for some time again our dear @Dry ice started photography and captured almost everything where it is birds, woods, trees, stone he did not missed anything Kudos :)

So we were returning people were relaxed so they did not aware that decsending would be more tough, no body had good shoes and regular reebok and puma shoes were slipping many times, we had to be more carefull while decending than accending.

And to surprise Uppi wanted to try new way we were behind him but he had his quechua shoes he was very fast and finally we lost in the Jungle.

Group was behind me, i was behind uppi and suddenly uppi disappeared, i push myself to get some speed so group was also disappeared and i was in nowhere, nearly lost.
I did not stopped but slowly slowly started moving and after 10-15 minute finally i saw roads.
In 5 minutes we all united and started for uttarkashi again, we were too much tired so no further adventure of that day just few drinks and we were set for sleeping.

Next day good by to Uppi and uttarkashi we headed for our destination , this time taken route via mussorrie, dehradun
we started at 10am and reached delhi at 11PM
